I’m Lauren Fleishman. I was an award winning child artist and then a deeply depressed and blocked teen/young adult who couldn’t create. Downtrodden by the miseries of American adolescence, I left my hometown of Houston, TX to live on a kibbutz in Israel for almost a year at the age of 15. But travel didn’t help. For 12 years I was blocked, struggling with what medical doctors would call “bi-polar disorder”, co-dependency and could not express myself creatively nor hold a job that satisfied my intelligence, autonomy or creativity for more than a year without getting bored and leaving.
